The following writings try to describe my personal experience of music, and should not be taken as authoritative in any way. I’ve never been in a band. I did take piano lessons for about eight years and even joined a beginner’s voice class, so I’ve performed in front of people a few times with varying degrees of success. I know a bit about theory, a little about technique, a few choice cultural buzzwords, and an iota about the production and distribution of music combined.
But more than anything, I know something about being a fan, and I know how to write about things I love. So this is a long-winded way of explaining that I’m no expert and certainly not an insider. But if you’re still interested in anything I have to say, I’m glad you’re here.
You’re always an authority on your own musical taste and opinions! You have a clean looking site. Keep writing.
Thanks, Ryan! You keep up your good work, too.
Hey that’s a Kala Ukulele next to the piano… Is that a Mahogany Tenor? I think I have the same one.
Hey Chris,
It’s a Kala Concert Mahogany, but it’s my boyfriend’s. Sadly, the one of us from Hawaii doesn’t play. Maybe I’ll work on it this summer.
