It takes two Th’s to make a thing go right

I wonder who that sheet belongs to

I wonder who that sheet belongs to

I. Wow. Yup.

I’ve been wondering why none of my cutesy, couple-y photos ever look quite right. Now I know it is because at least one half of us should be gleefully unclothed while tastefully shielded from judgmental eyes. Take note, potential engagement picture-takers!

Just to be clear: Thao Nguyen of Thao with the Get Down Stay Down and Hutch Harris of the Thermals are not engaged to be married, at least that I am aware. They are, however, engaged to share a split single that will be released by their label, Kill Rock Stars, in honor of Record Store Day on April 18. One thousand copies will be sold by independent record and CD purveyors throughout the country, which means you can get your hot little hands on a cover by Thao as well as two demo tracks from the Thermals. Whether or not the upcoming 7″ will include more clothing-optional imagery remains to be seen.

The Thermals will play at the Wonder Ballroom on Thursday, April 9. Explode into Colors and Parenthetical Girls will also play.

Thao with the Get Down Stay Down will play at the Mississippi Studios twice on Thursday, May 7. Samantha Crain will play the early show, and Sister Suvi will play during the later show.

I totally dig the Thermals. On another note, if and when I shoot your engagement, please have JorTer wear a towel while in between poses. Kthx!
